Naked Lies of Van Batten as to US Somaliland Engagement Exposed by Sen. Risch

EINPRESSWIRE – Every One’s Internet News Presswire – is one the paid “Press Release Distribution Service” for organizations that need to get their news in front of the media and to the public that goes online looking for news on a particular issue or company.

The founder of “Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C.”, a lobbying firm actually hired by the Federal Government of Somalia but posing as an agent of a covert group known as the United Somali Alliance with headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is Karl Von Batten. With words so childishly idiotic that the South Somalia administration believes to be real, he is actively working to undermine the recent constructive and mutual collaboration between the US and Somaliland.

A naked blatant lie released by the United Somali Alliance and Von Batten-Montague-York claimed that the US House and Senate did not adopt the US-Somaliland Partnership agreement by distributing a purchased press release via the Press Release Distribution Service described above in the hopes that it will spread untrue information and muddy the truth when numerous news sources cover it. It read as follows on Associated Press online page:

On behalf of the United Somali Alliance, Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C. is pleased to announce that both the U.S. House and Senate National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (NDAA) Somaliland Partnership Act amendments were successfully blocked from inclusion into the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2023.”

In sharp contrast to the lies propagated by the United Somali Alliance and Von Batten-Montague-York, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee published on its webpage a piece titled: “Risch Praises Inclusion of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Priorities in FY2023 NDAA” on December 7, 2022. One of those inclusions is the US Somaliland Partnership Act.

U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today praised the inclusion of several of his Senate Foreign Relations Committee-related priorities in the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

Africa

* Report and feasibility study on collaboration to meet shared national security interests in East Africa (Sec. 1275) to require the Department of State to annually report to Congress on U.S. assistance to Somaliland, as well as the feasibility of establishing a U.S.-Somaliland partnership, including opportunities for collaboration on regional security issues

* Statement of policy and report on engaging with Niger (Sec. 5597) to support continued U.S. engagement and cooperation with Niger as a key component of efforts to stabilize the Sahel region.

For the rest of other inclusions Continue Reading Full Report
