Somaliland: Workshop for Wildlife Conservation Efforts

The cheetah conservation fund (CCF) along with its partners, that include the Somaliland ministry of environment and rural development, today kicked of a 5-day training program titled; detecting illegal species through preventative training for Somaliland.

 

 

Shukri Haji Ismail Bandare, pointed out that many different wildlife species in Somaliland are illegally hunted by foreigners and then smuggle them out the country bound to international markets.

Minister Shukri Bandare made such remarks in a speech that she delivered at the training workshop on combating the illicit trading of cheetahs that was held in Hargeisa.
