Somaliland: Workshop on How to Draft Laws of the Nation Launched

The Somaliland Ministry of Justice has convened experts and professionals – versed in creating laws – in a workshop exploring on how-to drafting the laws of the land.
The purpose of the meeting is to gain a common understanding of the process of making and creating rules, and develop a standard processes and procedures for this task.

The meeting was attended by all the ministries and agencies involved in drafting legislations and regulations, such as the Ministry of Chambers Relations, the Parliament and Constitutional Affairs; the Office of the Attorney General; the Office of the Public Prosecutor; the Courts; the Somaliland Bar Association; the Women Lawyers Association and other experts. professionals in making laws.
The meeting was opened by the Director General of the Ministry of Justice, Abdirahman Sheikh Hassan Ismail, and will last for three days.
