Hargeisa Book Fair’s International Delegates Honored at the Somaliland Presidential Palace

Somaliland, president – H. E. Muse Bihi Abdi – hosted a dinner at the Presidential Palace for international delegates who are taking part in the Hargeisa this evening facilitated a supper at the official royal residence for global visitors who are taking part in the Hargeisa International Book Fair, which opens tomorrow Saturday in the capital -Hargeisa.

The dinner hosted by the president was attended by the first deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, who is at present the acting chairman, some members of the cabinet ministers, other politicians, community leaders, the management and the workers of the Hargeisa Culture Center which is the venue of the Hargeisa Book Fair.

 

 

At the banquet honoring the foreign participants of Hargeisa Book Fair, there were also younger generations and a number of activists hailing from different regions of the nation.

At the beginning, the Chairman of the Hargeisa Culture Center – Dr. Jama Dream Jama – who spoke there went into depth on the significance of the Hargeisa Book Fair for young generation, and how it has turned into an intuitive spot to showcase the value of reading and writing. He likewise thanked to the president for the cordial way in which he invited the international guests who came to attend the event.

Prof. Lumumba, who is one of the prominent activists for the development of the African continent and one of the international guests who spoke at the dinner this year, applauded the president’s invitation to the guests.

The official banquet was closed by Somaliland president – Muse Bihi Abdi. He thanked the international guests for choosing to attend the International Hargeisa Book Fair and remarked that Somaliland is ready to host major conventions that the the world can be a part of.

President Muse Bihi Abdi underlined that Somaliland is a safe country with a friendly society that regards every individual who comes to their country.
