Somaliland: Dr. Sacad Remarked, “Our Dream is to Create Singapore in the Horn of Africa”

Speech by the Minister of Finance Development of the Republic of Somaliland – Dr. Sacad Ali Shire- at the inauguration of phase I of the expansion and modernization of the Berbera port under DP World’s 30-year concession with an automatic 10-year extension for the management and development of the port.

Dr. Sacad was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation when Somaliland signed this landmark project with DP World in September 2016

This will be a major contribution to the economic development of Somaliland and the Horn of Africa region, especially Ethiopia.
